I went to see Annie in May of 2007 for help with a very painful lump in my wrist and a swollen joint in my left index finger. The finger joint was enlarged to at least twice its normal size and very painful as well. I could bend the finger only about half its normal distance. My family has a history of rheumatic arthritis, so two aching joints were of considerable concern to me, but my regular doctor was unable to offer much help beyond suggesting a course of anti-inflammatories and the possibility of surgery.
The pain in both areas was reduced shortly after my first visit. With semi-weekly sessions, the cyst disappeared completely within three months. I now have full range of motion in the finger, with no visible swelling remaining. In addition, Annie was able to offer excellent advice to reduce my previously acute premenstrual syndrome symptoms and regularize what had been a wildly unpredictable cycle. Her acupuncture treatments helped to alleviate a couple of nasty colds, raise my energy level, offered tremendous stress relief, and worked wonders on my recurrent back pain. I would certainly recommend acupuncture as an aid to resolving any number of issues, and I find Annie to be an excellent practitioner.

I have experienced intestinal troubles off and on for twenty-seven years. For the past seven years I have endured chronic yeast infections and severe diarrhea, running to the bathroom up to twenty times a day. I saw Annie in December of 2006, out of agony from pain due to Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, as a result of repetitive movement related to my work as a dental lab technician. I found that over the counter pain pills would only mask the pain for two to three hours at a time and was looking for another solution. My massage therapist recommended Annie. I could hardly shift my standard transmission car to reach Annie for acupuncture. It seemed like a miracle because driving home I was pain free. I went for a follow up visit to be sure, but the pain had not returned. It would seem that I am writing this as a favor to Annie but I’m really writing as a favor to any woman dealing with infertility as I was. After two failed IVF Cycles, I went to Annie to help me make my next and last attempt successful. At our first meeting, she made me feel comfortable, optimistic, and cared for. I don’t know which was more important – her emotional support, wisdom or acupuncture expertise. I’d begin most sessions in tears and left every session smiling. I always felt that she had as much time for me as I needed. She’d call me at home to check in on me, and at times, I would call her if I needed my Annie fix before the next week’s appointment. I was referred to Annie for acupuncture by my doctor when my baby settled into a breech position during the last weeks of my pregnancy. I was told that acupuncture could help my baby “turn” and assume the correct position. This seemed like a great option to me rather than the possibility of a C section. Within only a few treatments with Annie he turned and I was able to undergo a normal delivery. I am grateful to Annie for helping us at our time of need.

I wear contact lenses and visit the eye doctor annually for vision testing. At a recent visit, my eye pressure readings were abnormally high. The doctor decided to complete a more in-depth exam a week later at which time my readings were again too high. At this visit we discussed glaucoma and options for treating it.
Since I was already working with Annie to treat my colitis, I asked if there was anything acupuncture could do to help with eye pressure and glaucoma. To my surprise, there was!
Annie started using points to treat my eye pressure and when I returned to the eye doctor to follow up, my eye pressure had decreased!
The eye doctor will continue to check my vision annually, but since my eye pressure is now within normal limits I do not need medication or invasive treatment. Thank you Annie!!!
